New opportunities offered this spring!
If you are new to The Sanctuary, make plans to join us for Lunch with the Pastors right after second service on April 2. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our mission and vision, get to know Pastor Ronn and Pastor John and, of course, enjoy lunch together. Childcare will be provided. Sign up at the Info Table if you plan to attend.
GLUTEN FREE COMMUNION
The last Sunday of each month, we take communion together as a church body. If you are gluten free, we offer wafers that are individually wrapped to prevent cross contamination with the rest of the communion bread. If you need a gluten free wafer, please feel free to take one from the back table in the auditorium as you enter or walk back as the elements are passed.
EASTER SERVICES
In this broken world, life can feel like a dark and dismal place. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Two thousand years ago, Jesus gave his life to give us hope. His death and resurrection assured us that life can be full of meaning and purpose. Join us Easter Sunday as we look back at one of the greatest days in history and how Jesus transforms lives even today. Come celebrate with us as we unpack this timeless Biblical message that gives us a fresh start at life. Also, join us on Good Friday, 7 p.m. April 14, to experience the final days of Christ through music, dramatic reading and scripture.
HELPING WITHOUT HURTING
A new adult elective will look at ways to come alongside people living in material poverty in a Christ-honoring way. If you are interested in serving on a short-term missions trip, or simply want to become more familiar with how you can help people without hurting them, this class is strongly recommended. It has radically changed how churches across North America approach outreach and missions. The five-week class will be starting April 30 during the 9:30 a.m. service in the Community Room. Please sign up at the Info Table if you are interested.
CREATION: A PERSPECTIVE
The Sanctuary’s Statement of Faith affirms that God is the Creator of all things, but leaves room for various perspectives on the creation account in the book of Genesis. One perspective is the Seven Day Literal interpretation. This perspective will be presented during a five-week elective on Wednesday evenings, starting at 7 p.m. April 19 in the Community Room. We will hear via DVD from various creation scientists about evidence for a literal interpretation of the Genesis creation account as opposed to the theory of evolution, and have an opportunity to discuss what we hear. Please sign up at the Info Table if you plan to attend.
SURGE
Are you longing to connect with God through a time of deep worship and prayer? Join us the first Wednesday of each month at Surge, which is an extended worship service designed to help us step out of the busy pace of life and Revive, Regroup and Recharge. The next Surge is April 5 at 7 p.m. We will have childcare for birth to fifth grade.
HOP2IT
Join us for our annual Hop2It event April 8 from 9 a.m. to noon for a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt, bounce houses, petting zoo, face painting, food and an interactive Easter story. Invite your friends! If you are able to donate small party favor-type toys to Hop2It, please drop them off at the Info Table. We also need help setting up on April 7 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please sign up at the Info Table if you are available for any length of time.
BAPTISM
If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and you would like to be baptized, plan to participate in one of our regular morning worship services at 9:30 and 11 a.m. April 30. A baptism class will be offered during first service April 9 in the Green Room. Please e-mail Emily Neal if you plan to participate in the class: [email protected].
