Ocean Commotion starts Monday!
If you have children ages 4 to 10, we can’t wait to see them on Monday for Ocean Commotion! Kids will dive deep into the account of Noah and the Flood from the book of Genesis at this year’s VBS! They’ll learn to apply the spiritual lessons from Noah’s life to their own. And, along the way, they’ll get to dig into the science behind the Flood through exciting science experiments. VBS is 9 a.m. to Noon Monday through Friday. (Registration is now closed.)
NEW WORSHIP ARTS DIRECTOR
We are excited to announce that Ben Kafer will be joining The Sanctuary Church staff as worship arts director. Ben has been serving as a worship leader at Christ Community Church in St. Charles while attending Judson University in Elgin. Please be praying for Ben as he gets settled in Romeoville and prepares to step into this new role on Aug. 1. In addition to working part-time at The Sanctuary, he will be finishing his last year at Judson to complete his bachelor’s degree in worship arts. Please give Ben a warm welcome as you begin seeing him the next few weeks and he transitions into his new role as worship arts director at The Sanctuary!

THE SANCTUARY HAS ADOPTED!
We’re excited to take the next step in coming alongside students in our community by joining Christian organization Kids Hope USA to adopt Irene King Elementary School in the Valley View School District. Whether you have been looking for a way to be more intentional with your daytime hours in this season of life or are interested in donating school supplies this year, plan on attending an info meeting and “shower” on Aug. 20 after second service. Check out the Target registry and Toys R Us wish list (under Irene King) to find ways you can help shower our school. For more info, contact Deb Ebenroth at [email protected].
