Join us on the first day of Lent as we prepare ourselves for the Easter season ahead. We will be worshipping together at 7 p.m. March 1. Childcare will be available for birth to preschool. Our Ash Wednesday service will replace Surge, which is normally the first Wednesday of the month.

GLUTEN FREE COMMUNION
The last Sunday of each month, we take communion together as a church body. Beginning this week, we will offer gluten free communion. The wafers are individually wrapped to prevent cross contamination with the rest of the communion bread. If you need a gluten free wafer, please feel free to take one from the back table in the auditorium as you enter or walk back as the elements are passed.

STUDENT LIFE PARENT MEETING
Parents of junior high and high school students are invited to learn about missions opportunities and events planned for students this summer. Two identical meetings will be held Feb. 26 immediately following both first and second services in the Green Room.

YOUTH TAKEOVER SUNDAY
You don’t want to miss our worship service on March 5 when Student Life takes over! Junior high and high school students will be volunteering to serve coffee, greet, pass out bulletins and play on the worship team. Students can sign up at the Info Table to participate.

SHORT TERM MISSIONS TRIPS
Thank you to everyone who attended the meeting last week to learn about short-term missions trips this summer and fall. If you missed the meeting, you can pick up a flyer at the Info Table with details about the trips that are being planned. The Missions Team will be forming teams for each trip during the next month. SERVING OPPORTUNITY
If you are looking for an easy and meaningful way to serve in our community, sign up to partner with Morningstar Mission. We have the opportunity to help serve dinner to those without homes on March 24 and April 18 from 4 to 6 p.m. Sign up at the Info Table.

FIGHT CLUB
Men of The Sanctuary meet every other Saturday from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. in the Community Room for breakfast, Bible study, discussion and accountability. The next Fight Club is Saturday. Contact Bryan Buckley, [email protected].

HOP2IT
Save the date for our annual Hop2It event! Plan to invite your friends and join us on April 8 from 9 a.m. to noon for a glow-in-the-dark egg hunt, bounce houses, petting zoo, face painting, food and an interactive Easter story.

WOMEN’S LINK: SPRING RETREAT
Ladies, save the weekend of April 28-29 for the Women’s Link spring retreat! The theme of this year’s get-away is “Exploring Our Legacy” with guest speaker Leticia Suk, author of Rhythms of Renewal, and Getaway with God: the Everywoman’s Guide to Personal Retreat. The retreat is at St. Mary’s of the Lake Retreat Center in Mundelein. Cost is $90, which includes a double room with private bath, meals and retreat materials. Add $10 for a private room. Registration will be March 5 to April 2.

JUNIOR HIGH AND HIGH SCHOOL
Our junior high and high school ministries meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Mondays for student-led worship, large group teaching, small group discussion and tons of FUN! Feel free to arrive at 6:30 for hangout time.

YOUNG ADULTS
