If you are new to The Sanctuary, make plans to join us for Lunch with the Pastors right after second service on Jan. 31. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our mission and vision, get to know Pastor Ronn and Pastor John and, of course, enjoy lunch together. Childcare will be provided. Sign up at the Info Table if you plan to attend.

Q&A WITH PASTOR JOHN

As we consider offering a full-time paid position to our resident pastor, John Jou, we want to give the church an opportunity to get to know John, his story, his heart and his vision. Join us in the church office during the 9:30 or 11 a.m. service Jan. 31 for a Q & A session with Pastor John. The elders also will be sharing details of the proposed timeline to hire him. There will be a time for questions at the end of the meeting. All are invited to attend the Q & A sessions. Members will vote on the proposal to hire Pastor John at a Congregational Meeting at 12:30 p.m. March 13.

GIVING REPORTS

Thank you so much to your generosity to The Sanctuary in 2015. If you made a financial gift to the church in 2015, your statement has been mailed to you. You can also find your giving report online. BAPTISM

If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and you would like to be baptized, plan to participate in one of our regular morning worship services at 9:30 and 11 a.m. March 20. A baptism class will be offered at SURGE on March 9 to prepare you for the service. Please sign up at the Info Table to participate.

WOMEN’S RETREAT

Ladies! Save the date for this year’s women’s retreat, “Renew,” on March 4 and 5 in Niles, MI. Our guest speaker will creatively take us through the Psalms, inviting us to see our situations in a new way. Information and registration will be available at the Info Table next week.

ASH WEDNESDAY

Join us on the first day of Lent as we prepare ourselves for the Easter season ahead. We will be worshipping together at 7 p.m. Feb. 10. Childcare will be available for birth to preschool.

LOVED

For the last five years, The Sanctuary has had the privilege of bringing “Loved!,” a spa event, to our local domestic violence shelter. We are looking for people who love to paint nails, do make-up and offer hospitality, as well as licensed stylists, massage therapists and aestheticians. We are also looking for some volunteers who want to make a positive impact on the kids staying at the shelter by taking them to the local gym for some high energy games. We have limited volunteer slots so sign up early for this wonderful event 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 13.

MEN’S MINISTRY

Men of The Sanctuary are invited to come together for community and Bible study every other Saturday at 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. The next Fight Club is Saturday. Also, set aside 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 12 to attend Friday Night Fights, an evening for guys to hang out in a guy-friendly environment, eat guy food and connect with other guys. For more info, contact Bryan Buckley: .
