As we enter the last month of the school year, we know your calendar can get packed! We want to make sure you are aware of all that’s happening at The Sanctuary in the month of May:
May 3: Surge celebration night
Join us for an evening of celebration and giving thanks to God for all He has done in our church body this year! We will have a time of worship and ministry updates and then end the evening with ice cream. This will be our last Surge of the ministry year, but please note a few changes: We will begin at 6 p.m. on a Sunday evening, and we won’t have break-out sessions. Childcare will be provided for birth to 5th grade.
May 10: Mother’s Day and Child Dedication
We will have a child dedication during both worship services. There will be a Child Dedication class during first service May 3 from 9:30 to 10:35 a.m. in the Community room for anyone interested in finding out more about child dedications and having your child dedicated now or in the future. The class will explore the basis for dedicating our children to the Lord and will provide biblical encouragement to parents for raising your children to know and follow Christ. If you would like to have your child dedicated to the Lord or want to attend the class, sign up at the Info Table.
May 17: Motorcycle Sunday
We are so excited to be hosting our fifth annual Motorcycles on Sunday after the 11 a.m. service. This is a fabulous morning to invite friends to ride their motorcycles to church. Pastor Ronn will pray a blessing over our guests after the service, and we will host a free lunch and activities beginning at 12:15. More details will be coming soon!
CLEANING HELP NEEDED
We are in need of a few families or individuals to clean the Community Room. Our current team is stretched to get every room cleaned each week. Could you give an hour of your time once a month to serve in this way? Sign up at the Info Table or contact .
When is the last time you thought about the state of your soul? The health of your soul isn’t just a matter of saved or unsaved. It’s the hinge on which the rest of your life hangs. It’s the difference between deep, satisfied spirituality and a restless, dispassionate faith. Join with the men of The Sanctuary as they study John Ortberg’s “Soul Keeping.” The next meeting is 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Fight Club meets every other Saturday morning. Contact for more info.
Thrive and Crossfire, our junior high and high school ministries, meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Both youth groups will meet together for worship and large group teaching, then break off by age groups for small group discussion. Students are welcome to arrive at 6:30 for hangout time.
Crossfire, set aside June 5 and 6 for 24 hours of high school bonding! Students are invited to a mini-retreat that will include worship, break-out sessions, pizza, games, and a sleepover at host homes! More details will be coming soon.
Ignite, our college ministry, meets on Sunday nights from 7 to 9 p.m. at the home of Danielle Sault, 941 Canyon Run Road, Naperville. For more info, contact Steven Cruz at or check out The Sanctuary Ignite page on Facebook.
