Slice of Life
Make sure you invite your friends, neighbors and family to The Sanctuary’s Grand Opening service on Sunday! We are so excited to open the doors to the community for our two services at 9:30 and 11 a.m. Pastor Ronn will be kicking off the “Buried Alive” series on Sunday. If you are on Facebook, you can invite your friends to our Grand Opening event or direct people to this post on our website for more info.
WE NEED YOU!
We need lots of help today, Friday and Saturday with last-minute projects before our Grand Opening services on Sunday. Carpet is being installed in the auditorium today and more furniture has arrived for the lobby and KidsTown. We also have interior signs that are coming tomorrow! We need help cleaning, setting up the chairs in the auditorium, putting together furniture, hanging signs, removing old furniture from the community room and more! Stop by during business hours today or Friday or from 8 a.m. to Noon on Saturday. All help is appreciated, even if you can only stay for a short amount of time.
GO LIVE! SERVICE
We had a powerful night of worship last night during our Go LIVE! service! It was an amazing time to come together to praise the Lord before our Grand Opening on Sunday. We posted the playlist from last night on our web site and photos on our Facebook page.
TAILGATING PARTY
Make plans to hang out after second service next Sunday for a tailgating party! Football fans can listen to the Bears game, or possibly watch it live in the auditorium. (We’re working out details to stream the game!) Bring food and drinks for your family. We will have grills available for those who want to cook their own meat. Invite your friends for a fun afternoon!
SMALL GROUPS
Small groups will begin the week of Oct. 6. If you are interested in joining a group, please sign up at the Info Table after service on Sunday. Small groups are really the heart of our church. This is a place to join with groups of 10-14 people for weekly Bible study, prayer, accountability and fellowship.
5K FOR KENDALL
Come out and support one of our Sanctuary families, the Atkinsons, at a 5K for Kendall Oct. 19. Friends and neighbors of the Atkinson family are organizing the run, as well as a “Royal Fall Festival” in celebration of Kendall’s 5th birthday. Kids are invited to dress up as their favorite fairy tale character in honor of our valiant princess, Kendall. The fall festival is 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Freedom Park, 1600 Park Place (in the Southgate subdivision). Registration for the 5K begins at 9 a.m. and is $10 per person or $25 per family. All proceeds benefit the Kendall Quinn Medical Fund. For more info or to volunteer, contact .
YOUTH
Thrive and Crossfire, our junior high and high school ministries, will kick-off for the fall on Sept. 25. Parents are invited to an info meeting at 6 p.m. before youth group begins. Both groups will meet together for student-led worship and large group teaching, then break off by age groups for small group discussion. Thrive and Crossfire meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays.
NEED PRAYER?
If you have a prayer request, please feel free to send it to our Prayer Team so they can lift up your needs before the Lord. Contact with your prayer request.
