The Slice: Invite Your Friends to Hope for the Holidays
HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Hope for the Holidays, our fair trade holiday bazaar, is right around the corner! There are a few ways you can help us get ready for this great day of shopping, live music and HOPE! First, invite your friends! You can pick up invitations at the Info Table on Sunday, e-mail them using this link or share our invitation on Facebook. Second, we also need people to bring baked goods. You can sign up online or to let her know you can help.
Hope for the Holidays is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 23 at The Sanctuary. Give the gift that gives twice when you shop for handcrafted items from 30 countries! Invite your friends for unique gifts, live music and chocolate tasting. For more info, please contact or go to hopefortheholidays.info.
LEADERSHIP COMMUNITY
If you are a volunteer in any ministry area at The Sanctuary, please make plans to attend Leadership Community 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 24 in the Community Room. This will be an awesome time to come together to learn more about our vision, build leadership skills and huddle with our ministry teams. Childcare is available for children birth to preschool.
LUNCH WITH THE PASTORS
If you started attending The Sanctuary in the past year or so, you are invited to have lunch with the pastors right after second service on Nov. 24! This is a great opportunity to find out more about the mission and vision of the church, get to know the pastors, ask questions, and, of course, enjoy lunch together. Please sign up at the Info Table if you plan to attend. Childcare will be available.
ALL CHURCH WORK DAY
Mark your calendars for Dec. 7 when we will have an all-church work day. We still have lots of small projects throughout the building that we were not able to complete before we moved in last September. We need help with minor construction and clean-up. More details will be coming soon!
CASHING IN
Join us Nov. 24 when we begin a new sermon series, “Cashing In.” As the holidays approach, we will be challenged to rethink how we are spending our money this Christmas season. Don’t miss this two-week series that will focus on applying Biblical principles to our spending and giving.
UPLOAD YOUR PHOTO
We’ve been telling you the past few weeks about our new online directory. Now, we need YOU to help us out by uploading your photo! Our member web site is your one stop for finding contact info for other families at our church, RSVPing to events, finding out about prayer requests and finding your schedule for serving in ministry areas.
Here’s how you can help:
- Go to https://cometothesanctuary.org/media/member-login/ . If this is your first time logging in, click the link that says “Sign Up” to create a user name and password. (This is a new database, so you should click “Sign Up” even if you had access to the old system.)
- Check your personal info and your family info to make sure everything is up to date.
- Upload a profile photo by choosing “Edit profile” under Profile Settings.
YOUTH
Thrive and Crossfire, our junior high and high school ministries, are in full swing! Both groups meet together for student-led worship and large group teaching, then break off by age groups for small group discussion. Thrive and Crossfire meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Students are welcome to arrive at 6:30 for hang-out time.
NEED PRAYER?
If you have a prayer request, please feel free to send it to our Prayer Team so they can lift up your needs before the Lord. Contact with your prayer request.
