Foundations 2.0 begins Sunday
Is Jesus someone who is an active part of your everyday life? Or is Jesus someone you talk about once in a while who has no real impact? Come explore what it means to have Jesus be an active presence in your life. This four-week class is offered to students in 6th to 12th grade and begins Jan. 15 at 9:30 a.m. in the Community Room. Sign up on our member website calendar.
FAMILY CHAT
Come get details on the direction The Sanctuary is headed in 2017. Sanctuary leaders will talk about results of our 2016 church wide survey and give an update on vision for the new year at this Family Chat at 7 p.m. Jan. 29.
ALPHA
Do you have questions about life and faith that you would like to discuss in a safe space? Would you like to have a better understanding of how to help people explore their faith? Would you like to find a place where you can bring friends and neighbors to explore their questions? If that’s you, you are invited to Alpha, starting at The Sanctuary in February. Alpha is a series of interactive sessions exploring the basics of the Christian faith, with groups running around the globe. The group will run for 10 weeks on Tuesday evenings starting Jan. 31.
WOMEN’S LINK BIBLE STUDY
Ladies, have you ever wondered what hymn composers were thinking about and experiencing that led to their amazing works to praise God? Come discover what God wants to teach you about worship by listening to and breaking apart well-loved hymns. This 10-week study will meet 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays in the Green Room starting Feb. 1. Contact Sarah West for more info: [email protected] or 630-618-9275 for more information. Sign up at the Info Table or online.
LOVED
For the last six years, The Sanctuary has had the privilege of bringing “Loved!,” a spa event, to our local domestic violence shelter. We are looking for people who love to paint nails, do make-up and offer hospitality, as well as licensed stylists, massage therapists, aestheticians and setup or take down volunteers. We have limited volunteer slots so sign up early for this wonderful event on Feb. 3.
