“SHIFT: A New Freedom” starts Sunday
We long to be free. We want to be free from the burdens and temptations we face. But how can we escape what holds us captive? How can we make that SHIFT? During our next sermon series, “SHIFT: A New Freedom,” we will look at how Jesus can release us from the bondage of control, fear, greed and power. Join us in November as we learn to walk in the freedom Jesus provides.
FALL BACK
Don’t forget to “fall back” on Sunday morning when daylight savings time ends. Set your clocks back and enjoy an extra hour of sleep before coming to church Sunday!
BENEVOLENCE OFFERING
We will be taking a benevolence offering at the end of service Sunday. This is a special offering that goes directly to help those in our church body who have a financial need. Please look for the ushers as you leave the auditorium.
SURGE
We love hearing stories of how God has been moving in our church. At this month’s Surge, we want to give you an opportunity to share those stories. Join us for a powerful evening of testimonies and worship at 7 p.m. Nov. 11. If God has been working in your life, please come prepared to share a brief testimony. The evening also will include break-out sessions on living in the spiritual disciplines, living in reconciliation and living in financial freedom. If you are planning to have a child dedicated in December, please plan to attend the child dedication break-out session. Childcare will be provided.
MISSIONS NIGHT
Join the Missions Team at 7 p.m. Nov. 5 to spend time with Richmond Wandera, a pastor from Uganda, and learn more about his ministry, Pastors Discipleship Network. Last year, we interviewed Richmond during our services and took a special offering for PDN. Richmond will update us on how his ministry used the finances provided by our church, what is happening at PDN, and the ministry’s plans for the future. There will also be a Q & A time. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
LUNCH WITH THE PASTORS
If you are new to The Sanctuary, make plans to join us for Lunch with the Pastors right after second service on Nov. 22. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our mission and vision, get to know Pastor Ronn and Pastor John and, of course, enjoy lunch together. Childcare will be provided. Sign up at the Info Table if you plan to attend.
