Our Justice and Compassion ministry is working to love locally:
…by healing the sick.
Bolingbrook Christian Health Center
Whether it be to volunteer, serve as a translator, partner with clinic families during Christmas, or be part of the summer 5K Walk and Carnival, there are numerous opportunities to get involved in this clinic in our very own community. Many who have no other alternative for health care have found a refuge at the center. At The Sanctuary, we are blessed to partner with such a practical ministry that shows God’s love and healing.
…by welcoming the stranger.
Exodus World Service and World Relief
We at the Sanctuary also seek to be a refuge to the refugee. Some of our families and small groups help put together “Welcome to America” packs with needed household items for newly arrived families, or become friendship partners and host families. We see repeatedly in Scripture God’s heart for the alien and the foreigner; that is why we are committed to coming alongside every newly placed refugee family in Bolingbrook. The agencies above help us to do that more effectively.
…by aiding the widow and the orphan.
Living Alternatives Pregnancy Resource Center
After seeing the needs of women in Will County and feeling God’s call, a few dedicated women have opened Living Alternatives Pregnancy Resource Center. Providing testing, services and ultrasounds free of charge to the patient are a few of the ways this ministry has come alongside of mother and child. By helping in renovations, volunteering, and fundraisers, we at the Sanctuary can come alongside them in walking out this calling.
